Bargains & Blessings
The Anglican Parish of Waterloo Bay, based in Birkdale and Wellington Point, earlier in the year opened their Bargains & Blessings op shop based in the hall at St James, 17 Station Street, Wellington Point.
The well set out and well stocked shop opens every second Saturday from 8am – 12 noon. Pop in and support them Saturday 18 July and browse the clothing and accessories, bric-a-brac, books and toys. They often have a ‘specials table’ and on the 18 July they will be featuring quilting supplies.
In other news, Fraser Coast Ultreya (“re-union of groups”), presented by the Parishes of Hervey Bay and Maryborough, is on Saturday 25th July 2026 at St John’s Church, 2 Gilston Road, Wondunna, Hervey Bay. Starting with BYO lunch from midday and the actual Ultreya beginning at 1pm. Afternoon -tea will be supplied. Details can be found at cursillo-brisbane.com (or ask Nick Crisp).
