Two Visits by Archdeacon Allan Paulsen

We have had two visits by Archdeacon Allan Paulsen during the last week. The first was on Good Friday, 3rd April, the second on Easter Day, 5th April. Allan will be with us again on Sunday, 12th April and we look forward to seeing him
again. The keynote of his sermon on Easter Day was the idea of seeking and finding. He pointed out to us that we often find ourselves looking for something or someone in the wrong place: the end result? Frustration and disappointment. However, searching for and finding the Christian way of life is a certain way to find happiness and success in our endeavours. At times this can prove a challenge, but is well worth the effort. Being Christians, and
therefore followers of Jesus, places us firmly on a successful path, keeping us as a community on the same page, to use a current expression.

The chapel presented a joyous atmosphere with arrangements of white flowers on our timber cross and yellow flowers elsewhere. This happy atmosphere was enhanced by the fact that three people wore Easter themed headgear: Amanda, Ann and Sandra. Others might like to follow suit…
