Mothers’ Union News
Ailsa Gill joined members from Mothers’ Union branches to attend the 31st Fishes and Loaves Fundraiser at St John’s Cathedral.
This year’s event supported the MND and Me Foundation, a Queensland charity committed to ensuring that no one faces Motor Neurone Disease (MND) alone. The Foundation provides urgent, practical support, including care, equipment, and assistance, at no cost and regardless of postcode, supporting Queenslanders from Cooktown to Coolangatta. For 15 years they have remained dedicated to two core goals: to care and to cure, funding vital MND research and walking alongside families during the hardest seasons of their lives.
The need remains great, and the Foundation receives no government funding, relying entirely on community generosity. As part of their 2026 Tax Appeal, they remind supporters that “your donation has a powerful and direct impact on people facing arguably the most difficult fight of their lives.”
