Biggest Morning Tea – A Meaningful Gathering

From Our Neighbours at St Peter’s – Fr Sam writes

Last Tuesday we had a wonderful Biggest Morning Tea, graciously hosted by the Mother’s Union to support Bev’s initiative raising awareness about cancer.

We were privileged to have Nick Crisp, member and Treasurer of St Paul’s, Manly, as our special speaker. He shared deeply moving reflections on God and humour, and God and patience, within the context of cancer illness. Through his stories of encounters with individuals and the experiences of his own family, we were drawn into a powerful journey of faith, resilience, and hope.

It was truly a touching experience, a space where we shared both tears and laughter, reminded of God’s presence even in life’s most challenging moments.

We also enjoyed a beautiful spread of delicious food, nourishing not only our bodies but also giving us much food for thought.

Well done to everyone who participated, contributed, and generously supported this meaningful event. Your kindness and compassion are making a difference in a truly noble cause.

Together in faith, hope, and love. A total of $1,197 was raised and Bev thanks everyone for their help and support.
