Last week, we celebrated all the good things God has given us and offered again the works of our hearts and hands

Thanksgiving Sunday is a long standing tradition within the parish and the pic on the front of this issue shows the wonderful offerings that graced our altar ready to be sold as a fundraiser for our ministry. After being nourished by scripture, sacrament and many prayers of thanks we called again on the skills of our crack auctioneer Craig Lawrence, ably organised by his lovely assistant and partner in life Mel.

Sandra Davis tells it well: What a success the auction today was: $1189 is the highest total we have ever made! I am very impressed with Andrew’s knitted wine bottle cover and am planning to start at least one of the ladies in my craft group making one.

Proud as the Vicar may be of Mrs Voltz’s work, there was spirited bidding for many items, including two skilfully crocheted rugs, one with the parish logo. There were many beautiful handcrafts, excellent
baking, plants, preserves and a brand new addition of meal vouchers promising a home cooked, home delivered meal!

Sometimes bidding surprised the donor as many bidders got lost in auction fever and bid high!

Thank you to all for a great day!!!
