Happy Mother’s Day from St Paul’s

Today we give thanks for all mothers, grandmothers, and those who mother in love; in families, in friendship, and in our parish community. Your strength, your steadiness, and your quiet acts of care shape lives in ways you may never fully see, but we feel them every day.

“As a mother comforts her child, so will I comfort you.”
Isaiah 66:13

A reminder that God’s own heart reflects the tenderness of a mother’s love.

“Her children arise and call her blessed.” Proverbs 31:28

A celebration of the honour and gratitude that motherhood inspires.

“Love is patient, love is kind… it always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.” 1 Corinthians 13:4–7

The kind of love mothers so often embody without fanfare.

“I remember your sincere faith, which first lived in your grandmother Lois and in your mother Eunice.” 2 Timothy 1:5

A beautiful picture of faith passed through generations of women. On this Mother’s Day, we honour every story of motherhood; joyful, complex, hopeful, and tender and we pray God’s blessing on all who nurture, guide, and love with a mother’s heart.

May today be a reminder of how deeply you are appreciated.
